Today, we’re going to learn how to play the classic song “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King, as well as “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, with just a few simple chords. And the best part? These chords are so common that you can use them to play hundreds of thousands of other songs as well!

First, we’ll start with the easiest way to play “Stand By Me”. Once you’ve got the chords down, you can add a strumming pattern to give the song some rhythm.

Next, we’ll learn how to play “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran using the same chords. To play the song, you’ll need to use 12/8 counting. That means you count “1+a 2+a 3+a 4+a” instead of “1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +”. This may take some practice to get used to, but with a little patience, you’ll get it down in no time.
